Best Left Buried is a horror e-book written by Cindy Hutchins. Now, I must admit Best Left Buried took my e-book virginity, so I didn’t know what to expect! On to the review!

About the Book: From Product Description
“If a bird flies out of a house of sickness, the patient will die.” The hills around Morganton, North Carolina are full of secrets as is the town itself. A young girl Arliss Pardot, is removed from the wreckage of a dilapidated cabin that is filled with empty bird cages and the corpse of a long dead man. Years later she has moved on, has no recollection of her past and is living her life in New York when she gets a call that her mother has died in Broughton Mental Hospital. As she learns about her childhood, many dark secrets come to light. An unrequited love, a sinister preacher and his odd cult, a black ritual and a malignant entity all lurk there in the shadows of the quaint Southern town. But some questions are best unasked and some secrets are Best Left Buried.

My Thoughts:

This book was amazing! There were a few grammatical errors, misspelled words, and altogether wrong/missing words, but nothing to major. I was sucked in from the beginning, I wasn’t sure who wanted to find out about Arliss’ past more, me or her! The story kept me on edge until about half way through. THIS IS NOT A BAD THING! At about the halfway mark it started feeling more like a puzzle, and I had to finish it! There were many twists and turns in this story, every time I thought I’d pieced the puzzle together something else would pop up and I’d have to start piecing it together all over again! I would recommend this e-book to anyone who loves a scary story!
